OneByZero is an educational marketplace operated by Gyanis Technology FZ-LLC, registered at Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park, UAE. We enable students and educators to buy and sell study materials, textbooks, STEM kits, and tutoring services across India and other supported regions.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information:name, email address, phone number, and profile picture provided during sign-up via Gyanis authentication.
• Transaction data:purchase and sales history, GyanisCoins wallet balance, payout records, and order details.
• Content you provide:listings, reviews, seller profile information, and uploaded study materials.
• Device and usage data:device identifiers, IP address, browser type, pages visited, and interaction patterns collected via cookies and analytics.
• Location data:country determined from your IP address or cookie preference to serve localized content for CBSE, ICSE, State Boards.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the OneByZero marketplace, including personalizing content for JEE, NEET, UPSC, CBSE & State Board Exams.
• To process purchases and payouts via the GyanisCoins wallet system.
• To verify seller identity and review listings for quality compliance.
• To send transactional notifications (order updates, payout confirmations) and, with your consent, promotional communications.
• To detect fraud, prevent abuse, and maintain platform safety.
• To comply with applicable laws, including GDPR and India IT Act.

4. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication (httpOnly cookies on the .gyanis.ai domain), country preference, and device identification. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are loaded only when a measurement ID is configured and help us understand how students use the platform. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following cases:

• Within the Gyanis ecosystem:your account and wallet data are shared across Flow, Aura, Vibe, and OneByZero to provide a unified experience.
• With sellers and buyers:limited order information is shared between parties to fulfill transactions (e.g., shipping address for physical products).
• Service providers:hosting (AWS), payment processing, email delivery, and analytics services that process data on our behalf.
• Legal requirements:when required by law, regulation, or legal process applicable in India.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are kept for 7 years for tax and compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us, after which we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Under GDPR and India IT Act, you have the right to:

• Access and receive a copy of your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations).
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing.

OneByZero is designed for students of all ages. For users under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in India), parental or guardian consent is required. We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate consent.

We protect your data using encryption in transit (TLS), httpOnly authentication cookies, Content Security Policy headers, and regular security reviews. While no system is 100% secure, we implement industry-standard measures to safeguard your information.
